Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

Mady and Cara just got their very own Bibles this past week! They were very excited to choose their own color too! Cara chose a pink/ grey suede compact Bible and Mady (not surprisingly!) chose a little black Bible-just like mommy's (NLT compact edition by Tyndale). They have both been asking more and more questions about the Bible and now armed with their own Bibles and their above average reading skills, they have been independently reading and learning! This week one day, Mady brought her Bible to me in the middle of a busy crazy moment and read the above verse to me! I was immediately blessed by these words from Isaiah! Again, what encouragement to know that God gives me the power I need when I feel weak and the strength to get through! God is so amazing! In addition, I was equally amazed when I stopped scurrying around the kitchen long enough to take in the amazing sight before me: My 7 year old was excited about what she was reading from God's word! And she cared enough to share it with me!!!! Thank you Lord for the power and strength you give to help me through the day! And may my children continue to develop a hunger for your word! Furthermore, may you cover my mistakes with your grace and allow them to see my love for You and your word! Amen.
