Romans 12:21 NIV Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

This verse is very fitting right now. I heard it on the way to church this morning while listening to a kids' Steve Green CD 'Hide 'em in Your Heart' with my family. We always listen to music on the hour long drive on Sunday mornings. This verse jumped out at us so much so that we listened again!

Right now, there are so many opportunities for us to repay evil with evil but we refuse. And it hasn't been easy to keep our mouths shut, but it's what God is asking us to do. Continue to overcome evil with good. Things like love, prayers, and kindness instead of retaliation and exposure.

We pray that we make wise decisions and pray they we are able to submerse ourselves in God's word so that we make wise word choices. And above all, never lose sight of the love we need to have for those around us...neighbors, strangers and family alike no matter what!
We are works in progress and that's what we are working on now....repaying good for evil.....
